  • Use hair extensions safe brush only, this is included in your care package from The Eclectic. Hold hair in a low ponytail and brush from bottom up. For Ktip and Itip extensions wiggle brush through roots and brush through. For Combline extensions brush the top of hair in a “C” motion.

  • Hair extensions should be oiled from the middle of the hair to the ends only. Please leave the roots/scalp oil and conditioner free.

  • Hair extensions must be put into a loose braid to sleep on or put into your provided satin bonnet to sleep in. This will promote the longevity and health of your hair extensions.

  • Avoid salt and chlorine water and sunscreens with avobenzone and octocrylenein it.

  • Limit the use of extremely hot water on your hair extensions. Extremely hot water will cause your hair extensions to dry and Ktip extensions to completely come out. This goes for your own natural hair as well.

  • Don’t sleep on wet hair extensions ever. Make sure your extensions are fully dried before sleeping on them. Not doing this will cause them to mat and be hard to remove or reapply. It may even result in having to buy new hair extensions entirely.

  • Heat tools and direct heat should be avoided on Ktip bonds at all costs. If this rule is not followed this can severely damage the keratin bonds and cause slipping, possibly even ruining the extensions and your hair as well.

  • Ktip and Itip extensions must be manually separated by hand to prevent tangling and matting. At your appointment this should have been shown to you.

  • Pre-book your maintenance appointments. Missing your maintenance appointments can cause issues with your hair extensions and natural hair.
